Five men. 50 toes. One mountain.

This past weekend, a team of five Injinji-clad employees and friends mustered up all their strength and headed out to Iron Mountain San Diego for the second race in the King of the Hill Trail Run Series organized by our friends at Gut Check Fitness.

The challenge: complete 6 or 11 miles out-and-back, conquering added fitness tests along the way – we’re talking push-ups, burpees, and mountain climbers. But it didn’t stop there. In the spirit of friendly competition, we also squared off against a team from Road Runner Sports in a local Corporate Challenge.

The trail was tough and the mountain unforgiving. In the end, we had a solid team who represented Injinji well in both the 6 and 11-mile competitions – our Sales Analyst Ian even snagged 3rd place overall in the 6-mile run!

Although we didn’t pull together the big win against the speed demons from Road Runner Sports, we’re marking this one down as a success. Runners were repping Injinji in all different kinds of shoes, and top finishers were sent home with Injinji swag bags.
