Injinji's Team Manager Isabella sat down with Team Injinji's Mike McKnight, known online as The Low Carb Runner, on the precipice of running the Badwater 135 to talk recent race lessons, post-run recovery, and training for this upcoming challenge. Mike is an elite ultra runner and running coach, Winner of the Triple Crown of 200's in 2019, and 2nd place finisher in this year's Cocodona 250 — but this is his first time at the uniquely challenging Badwater 135. This road race takes ultra running's boldest runners through extreme temperatures with 14,000 feet of climbing. Hear Mike's strategy for conditioning his body for the intense heat, what he plans to do to stay cool and how he will keep his feet feeling fresh.
