Injinji's Archived Socks
For more than 20 years, Injinji has been focused on designing toesocks that help athletes push their performance. We've constantly improved styles, materials, and knits to provide the best performance toesocks for your feet. While some collections have been renamed throughout the years to reflect product upgrades, others have been sunset as we’ve determined the best direction to take our product line. In the case of our Spectrum socks, each design is limited edition and quickly sells out for good. Ultimately, various styles and designs have come and gone because we’re dedicated to helping you and your feet live and perform at their peak. If you're ready to find something new, check out our product comparison guide.
Below are some of our discontinued products along with a suggestion for something that we do carry.
Discontinued Injinji Products
Ultra Compression
The Ultra Compression series was created to help reduce muscle fatigue and accelerate recovery time with a graduated compression starting at the ankle and continuing through the upper leg. The Nylon fibers made the Ultra Compression feel soft to the touch, yet durable with breathable mesh on the top of the foot. While there is not a current successor, the Injinji development team is working hard on a new iteration to be launching summer of 2025.
NüWool Fibers
NüWool was Injinji’s own Merino wool blend with acrylic added for additional durability. In our commitment to using the best materials available, most of these products were transitioned to Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) Certified Merino Wool from the Süedwoole Group. This new Merino wool is certified mulesing-free and eco-friendly. With the change in fiber, our socks were redesigned with a higher percentage of Merino wool fibers for enhanced performance.
Run 2.0
Run 2.0 was the second iteration of our best-selling Run series. Recognizing that we always will innovate, the team dropped the number naming convention. If you are looking to match an older run series, look to the current Run series. There are three weight levels to choose from as well as a variety of heights.
Sport Micro
The Sport Micro will always live in the Injinji history books as it was one of the first in production. While it was very tough to discontinue, the Micro height has fallen out of favor. A close cousin, the Sport Original Mini-Crew (and the first Injinji toesock!) is a bit taller and fully covers the ankle.
Eco Series
The Eco Series was launched in the early 2000's to shift away from conventional cottons and man-made yarns. The Eco Series was constructed with Bamboo fibers and Organic cotton. The current Everyday series uses Upcycled Cotton to help reduce and reuse fibers that already exist in the ecosystem.
