Where do you live and train?

We live in Naples, Florida in the winter and spring.  I run with the Gulf Coast runners running group.  I train many miles on the beach.  In the summer and fall we are in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  I train with many different runners and groups.  I run at the city lakes, along the Mississippi river and on numerous trails around town.

How many years running, cycling, or competing?

I ran a bit from 1982 to 1985 running 6 marathons on minimal training.  I picked up running again in 1992 to lose weight on a New Year's bet.  I won the and continued running.  I started running ultras in 1996.  After seeing Sue Olsen win the FANS 24 hour race overall I became a fan of hers.  She convinced me to try running an ultra.  I did, and have been running them since.

What type of races to you prefer (i.e. trail ultras)?

I prefer the 24 hour, 48 hour and six day races.  I like those races as they are held on a smaller loop.  It's easier to get aid and you always have someone to run with. I can be competitive in those races more so than on the mountainous trails.  I do however enjoy doing the trails for the adventure.

How did you hear or find out about Injinji tetratsok?

I first saw Sue Olsen wearing them.  Her feet would normally take the worst beating I had ever seen.  After seeing how they helped her my Honey tried them and loved them.  She convinced me to try them and I am glad she did.

How long have you been wearing the tetratsoks? I have been wearing them for the past year.

What is your personal tetratsok of choice? I like the mini, but will be trying the micro soon.

How do the tsoks work for you, and what do you like best about them?

The tsoks work great for me.  I like my toes having there own identity.  My toes don't rub together to cause blistering.

How have the tetratsoks changed your experience training and competing?

With my toes having there own identity they can work individually, yet together to make a good team to bring me a better result.

Do you have a memorable experience or story about the tetratsoks for training or competing?

I wore the socks during the "Transcendence Six Day Race" in New York in 2005.  They helped my feet and toes from getting out of hand and keeping me in the race.  My feet, toes and legs became very swollen during the race.  I am glad I had the socks on to help prevent blistering.

What would you most like to accomplish athletically presently and/or long-term?

I would like to run on the USA team at the World Championship 24 hour race and do the Badwater Ultramarathon in 2006.
