Long Haul 100 Long Haul 100 Ultra January 21st - 22nd, 2012
Wesley Chapel, FL
Haiti was devastated by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake on January 12, 2010 leaving the people of the western hemisphere’s poorest country in unimaginable hardship. With millions fleeing the capital (Port au Prince) and returning to the rural villages of their heritage, an agricultural vocation will be once again be adapted by many. The Haitian is no stranger to working the land. However, without access to basic farming tools, seeds, water, food preservation techniques, etc. they face an almost insurmountable task of feeding their relatives and making a living from their land. Women in rural Haiti are no better off. They are often the head of households with many children, with no opportunity to make an income. The race will benefit Praxis Haiti, a grassroots organization started by 3 Tampa Bay Area families. The 2011 LH100 raised over $10,000 to support the work of Praxis in Lavanneau, Haiti. So, whether you are running to beat your personal best or wanting to be a part of something that is bigger than just you, YOU can run knowing that 100% of the proceeds and any money you raise through fundraising (should you choose to do so) will make an EXTREME difference in the lives of those living in Lavanneau, Haiti.

This race will change YOU and HAITI!

Spartan Race Socal Spartan Race January 28th, 2012
Temecula, CA
We couldn't have picked a better venue for our first Super Spartan. Water... yeah we have it; elevation gain and loss... yeah we got that too; you want single track mixed in with some double track and then some cross country.. okay, we got that also. Throw in some natural "muddy areas" and some terrain that will challenge even the most seasoned racer and you got yourself a fun course. The words "get you some!" come to mind. I have designed the course at Vail Lake so you will pass through the main event site mid-way through the course, so just when you think it is over... your loved ones will have to cheer you on for the second part of this 8 mile course.

Stairway to Heaven 5k & 15k Stairway to Heaven 5k & 15k August 12, 2012
San Diego, CA

The 5K trail is a flat, fast and sometimes slightly technical run that crosses over the San Diego River and runs past the historic Old Mission Dam before entering Oak Canyon. Here the trail becomes more narrow with a short technical area that will require runners to “trail hop” around rocks. The course will be a mix of double and single track trails with a section of about half of a mile on road.

The 15K is another story. 15K runners will ascend a steep, ¾ mile hill at mile 2 encountering their first aid station at the top. After reaching the top, runners will wind down into the canyon on a combination of narrow single track and fire road trails. After reaching the second aid station runners will descend into Suycott Wash making their way towards South Fortuna Mountain and the “Stairway to Heaven”. When runners reach the stairway they will ascend up South Fortuna on steps that have been carved into the mountain. Once at the top their efforts are rewarded with spectacular views of the valley. Runners now make their way to the 3rd aid station (which was also aid station #1) before descending the steep ¾ mile hill and entering Oak Canyon. Oak Canyon is rocky and technical but eventually eases up as runners make their way over historic Old Mission Dam and the San Diego River before turning left for a short half-mile of road. After turning left off the road you will finish with a stretch of double track trails returning to the finish area.
